Reed Neighbors enjoys bringing neighbors together for town halls, community meetings and other informational events. Explore some of our past gatherings below and stay tuned for more. Have an idea for a future event? We'd love to hear from you!
In February 2026, Reed Neighbors hosted our first Neighborhood Watch meeting in partnership with the San José Police Department. Nearly 40 neighbors gathered at Reed Elementary to learn about crime trends, police districts and beats, home and neighborhood security, and ways we can all help keep our community safe.
A special thank you to Principal Ponzio for hosting and Crime Prevention Specialist Alex Pham for the informative presentation.
One of the biggest takeaways? The best way to build a safer neighborhood is to know your neighbors. Stronger connections lead to a stronger, safer community, and that's something we can all be part of.
In October 2025, we hosted our first Town Hall with Vice Mayor Pam Foley.
Neighbors had the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions and hear updates on topics including street safety, road paving, District 9 priorities and the city budget.
A special thank you to Principal Ponzio for hosting and to the District 9 team for helping make this event possible.
