We love that you're interested in Reed Neighbors! Our membership is limited to people who live within our neighborhood boundaries because our mission is to help neighbors connect with one another where they live.

That said, many of our resources and activities remain open to everyone. We’d love for you to stay connected through our website, Instagram, and Facebook Give and Receive group, and we warmly welcome you to attend community events.

Absolutely! We encourage everyone in your household to join. Each person brings their own interests, ideas and connections to the neighborhood.

It depends on the event. Some events require registration so we can plan appropriately, while others are open for neighbors to simply stop by. If registration is needed, you'll find the details on the event page.

Yes! We love seeing neighbors share our events with friends and family. Unless an event specifically states otherwise, guests are always welcome.

When you sign up for Reed Neighbors, you'll have the opportunity to select volunteer activities that interest you most. Whether you enjoy helping at events, sharing your talents, or lending a hand behind the scenes, there's a place for everyone. Reed Neighbors doesn't offer advertising, but we're happy to feature businesses owned by neighbors on our Local Businesses page. If you live in the neighborhood and would like your business included, just contact us. 

Reed Neighbors is a nonpartisan community organization focused on strengthening connections within our neighborhood and sharing information. For that reason, we don't publish political campaigns, endorsements or advocacy.

We do, however, believe it's valuable for neighbors to have opportunities to learn about local government and engage with the public officials who represent our community. From time to time, we may host informational events or community conversations with elected officials to help neighbors better understand local issues, ask questions and stay informed.

Our goal is always the same: to build a more connected, informed and engaged neighborhood while remaining welcoming to everyone. We believe we have more in common than not, and that's where we'll continue to focus our energy.

No. Reed Neighbors isn't a crime reporting service. If you need to report a crime, suspicious activity, or a non-emergency issue, we encourage you to use the appropriate resources, such as local law enforcement, 311 or neighborhood platforms like Nextdoor.
